The latest data shows that construction spending increased by $1.05 billion to $1318.485 billion in August 2018.
Momentum is also positive. Month over month growth was 0.1 percent.
This is an estimate of the total dollar value of construction work done in the United States. This survey is done once a month by the Department of Commerce’s Census Bureau, it looks at residential and non-residential construction in the private sector, and state and federal at the public level.
