Global Indices Comparison

Below are charts showing stock market ETFs expressed in the same currency. Many country indices are priced in their local currency, such as the United Kingdom’s FTSE that is priced in the British Pond Sterling. Due to currency fluctations this can result in difficulty when trying to compare global stocks. For this reason I have selected below are all ETFs expressed in a common denominator – the US dollar.

The EAFE acronym stands for Europe, Australasia and the Far East. The MSCI EAFE Index is a stock market index that is designed to measure the equity market performance of developed markets outside of the U.S. & Canada.
